    At Avid’s Angels Cat Rescue, we rely on our amazing team of volunteers to help us carry out our mission of rescuing and rehoming cats in need.

    There are many different volunteer roles available, each with its own unique responsibilities and requirements.

    Here are some of the roles we offer:

    Fosterer

    Fostering is one of the most important volunteer roles at Avid’s Angels Cat Rescue.

     

    Fosters provide temporary homes for cats and kittens that are not yet ready for adoption.

     

    As a fosterer, you’ll be responsible for providing food, water, and a safe and comfortable environment for your foster cat. You’ll also help to socialise your foster cat and prepare them for adoption.

    Home Checker

    Before we can place a cat or kitten in a new home, we need to ensure that the home is safe and suitable for the cat.

     

    Home checkers play a crucial role in this process by checking for any potential hazards and ensuring that the environment is suitable for the cat.

    Transporter

    Transport volunteers help us move cats and kittens from one location to another, such as from the recue to a foster home, from a foster home to an adopter, or to veterinary appointments.

     

    This role requires reliable transportation and a willingness to handle cats and kittens. Fuel expenses are provided.

    Admin

    Admin volunteers help us with a range of administrative tasks, such as data entry, responding to emails, and co-ordinating events.

     

    This role is perfect for volunteers who want to help but may not be able to commit to regular in-person volunteering.

     

    Admin can be done from the comfort of the volunteer’s home, making it perfect for those individuals who require a flexible approach to fit in with their lifestyle, with the added bonus of not needing to travel.

     

    We do ask that our admin volunteers are computer literate and are confident in their use of email (Outlook), Word & Excel. A decent laptop or PC is a must, rather than a tablet or mobile phone. 

    Donation Management

    Donation management volunteers help us manage donations of food, supplies and monetary donations.

     

    This role involves keeping track of donations and distributing them to the appropriate locations and volunteers.

    Fundraiser

    As a non-profit organisation, fundraising is critical to our mission.

     

    Fundraising volunteers help us to plan and execute fundraising events, co-ordinate donations and promote our organisation to potential donors.

    There is a wide variety of volunteer roles available at Avid’s Angels Cat Rescue, each playing a crucial role in our mission to rescue and rehome cats in need. We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels, and we provide training and support to ensure that our volunteers are comfortable and confident in their roles.
