Oberon – Your loyal, nose-kissing companion

Oberon is a handsome, expressive boy who arrived in rescue through no fault of his own; sadly, his previous family developed allergies. He’s now being cared for by one of our amazing fosterers and is ready to find the right forever home.

Personality

Oberon is full of character. He has a gentle, affectionate side and a cheeky, attention-seeking streak that makes him incredibly endearing. He gives adorable nose kisses when you come home and, after a good nap, he loves soft belly rubs. He’ll happily curl up on the bed beside you at night and, although he doesn’t want to sleep on you, he absolutely wants to be close.

He’s very communicative and will tap you with his paw if he feels you’re ignoring him. He rarely swipes, but he can become overwhelmed or tense, particularly if there are visitors in the home, and may need space during busy moments.

He’s also quite food-motivated and enjoys toys that resemble outdoor prey, such as soft mice which are a favourite!

Ideal home

Oberon will require access to a safe outdoor space, so a home with a secure garden would be ideal.

Having not lived with other cats or dogs before, Oberon would be happiest as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the attention for himself.

Oberon could live with older, cat-savvy children (teenagers) who understand when to give him space. While affectionate, he does need his boundaries respected; if he’s not in the mood for fuss, he may let you know, though this is uncommon.

Likes & routine

* Wet food in the morning and evening (Whiskas)

* Dry food available throughout the day

* Lily’s Kitchen treats

* Drinking water (he’s very good at staying hydrated!)

* Sleeping next to you

* Scratching posts (he doesn’t climb much but still likes to scratch)

* Toys that mimic prey – mice, feathers, things he can “hunt”

Who he’s looking for

Oberon needs a patient, cat-savvy adopter who understands feline body language and respects his boundaries. In the right home, he will thrive – rewarding you with affection, nose kisses, and his loyal presence by your side each night.

If you’re looking for a cat with personality, charm, and a lot of love to give (on his terms!), Oberon may be your perfect match.
