🐾 Tinks – A gentle, loving calico looking for her forever retirement home 🐾

Tinks is a beautiful 10-year-old female calico with a sweet soul and so much love to give. She is available for direct home-to-home adoption and will need to be collected from Ashton-Under-Lyne.

💕 About Tinks

Tinks may seem a little shy at first and tends to keep her distance while she figures you out. But once she feels settled and safe, you’ll discover her true nature – an incredibly loving and affectionate companion. Expect plenty of enthusiastic headbutts as she vies for your attention.

She adores head rubs and absolutely melts when being brushed, especially on her lower back. It’s one of her favourite ways to bond.

🏡 Personality & lifestyle

Tinks is a relaxed, easy-going girl, and there aren’t any particular dislikes her owners are aware of. In her current home she enjoys spending time outdoors or tucked away in one of the spare rooms where she has access to cosy hiding spots.

She doesn’t have a favourite toy, because to Tinks, everything is a toy! Whether it’s a proper cat toy or an abandoned cable tie, she’ll happily entertain herself. That said, nothing beats chasing bugs, spiders, or flies (that’s when her inner hunter truly shines!)

🍽 Food & habits

* Currently eats wet food (most common brands are fine)

* Previously ate dry food, but this was removed to help with weight loss

* Absolutely loves tuna in spring water

* Has a remarkable ability to hear a tin being opened anywhere in the house, no matter what floor she’s on!

* Fully litter trained

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Children & other pets

Tinks currently lives in a household with 2 small children under the age of 5, from whom she is usually kept separated as young children can sometimes be a little heavy-handed. However, Tinks has always been gentle and has never reacted badly towards the children. Child gates have been used to give Tinks space when needed, though she’s often found trying to get their attention through the gate anyway! Therefore, we would recommend that any children in Tinks’ new home are older (10+).

Tinks has never lived with other pets, so compatibility cannot be guaranteed. When she has encountered other cats in the garden, she appears calm and alert; more of a quiet staring contest than anything confrontational. We would recommend that Tinks is the only pet in the home so she can soak up all the attention for herself.

* Has been very recently vet-checked

* May benefit from a scale & polish of teeth in the future (which is to be expected with a cat of Tinks’ age)

* First vaccination completed (second booked for 6th March)

Tinks would thrive in a quieter home, ideally as the only pet, where she can enjoy a peaceful retirement filled with love, comfort, and companionship. She may need a little patience at first, but once she bonds with you, she will be the most devoted and affectionate friend.
