A Little Bit About Me

Snowbell is a gorgeous silver chinchilla Persian female who is approximately 1.5 years old. She is quite a petite lady for a Persian but nonetheless is absolutely stunning. We decided to call her Snowbell after the white cat in the film ‘Stuart Little’.

Snowbell came in to us recently with her 2 other siblings through no fault of their own as their owner had sadly passed away. In the weeks leading up to her owner’s passing, Snowbell had been left to fend for herself and she ended up in a terrible state with big matts and knots in her fur – Persians require daily grooming, a lot of commitment, and dedication to their care.

She has recently been groomed due to her fur becoming very matted and tangled but, after a good wash and groom, she is now back to looking like her usual self with a beautiful white and silver fluffy coat.

Snowbell is definitely a lap cat and will sit on your knee all day if you let her. She loves her head to be scratched and to have calming strokes on her head, but she doesn’t like to be stoked down past her neck. Snowbell loves both wet and dry food, is not a fussy eater she also enjoys her treats.

Currently living in a busy household with younger cats and toddler children, Snowbell has displayed signs of not taking well to other cats, therefore we feel it would be in her best interests to be the only cat in the home. Snowbell would benefit from a calm environment with slow introductions to older children over 10 years old, or a child-free home.

Experience of owning Persians is preferred as Snowbell is very high-maintenance and will require daily grooming and commitment to her care. Therefore, we would recommend that anyone considering adopting Snowbell researches the breed before completing an application form as Persians require a lot of time and dedication.
